This is a picture of Pastors Kay and Paul Bottlefson. They arrived in Elkford from Cutknife, Saskatchewan in 1989, becoming the first Pastors of Elk Valley Congregational Church. In December of 2015 they retired, and in June of 2018, they moved to Lethbridge to an assisted living home, to be closer to their family.

Paul and Kay were well loved by everyone who knew them. Kay was a nurse who excelled at her chosen field, and was a keen administrator. She was involved in many community groups such as our local Emergency Services team and helped out with funerals and weddings along with her husband. Paul drove the school bus, and worked as a janitor, learning all the names of the school children and making them all feel special. He loved to sing and play country tunes on his guitar, and many folks have fond memories of his music, his fun loving manner, and his friendship, and his love of the Blue Jays and golf!

Our lives were all made that much better by the faithful ministry of Paul and Kay. Thank you for your years of service both to EVCC and to the community of Elkford.
